At this point I’m hoping to be on a “layoff list” - I can’t take much more of the constant shuffling of responsibilities - it’s emotionally draining. It’s been a rough couple years.
@p9 I'm guessing by the downvote count people want to see layoffs and the conservatorship continue. How odd.

@gm AI is becoming a fun game now. Sr Directors and directors trying to code ( i.e making AI code for them) and show off without knowing the basics of the business they are trying to help with their implementation. They are trying to sell snake oil to their higher ups with a gang yes men around them. Token usage is the proof for that if anyone wants see their BUSYness.
@e2 Hopefully that's the finale and they can finally end the ridiculous ongoing conservatorship.
Those being let go in the coming weeks have already received notice.

Second line and third line are super bloated and over scope their work as a result
@d0 I think it depends on the department. Some departments aren't that busy and have had way too many people for awhile. Quite a few departments do redundant and I've seen others that just come up with projects that really don't have any impact on anything...but it makes them look important.
If they cut too much, some of the departments that are based on production I'm sure they will argue with all the new tools like AI they can do more. There are quite a few departments there with a small amount of people that really aren't even necessary.
@e2 this last set of cuts is going to hurt everyone. The ones that they do cut and also the ones they don't, due to overwhelming workloads.
Mega sized one this week is the rumor. This round potentially targeting the middle management (Vp layers, director layers & may be managers)
@d0 didn't you hear bolivar that conveniently is jumping ship. team of 3 can do work of 5 people which translates from corporate slop to team of 5 will be reduced to 3. Update your resumes and carry on.
With more and more layoffs since last year, genuinely curious how is the work being done with way less people??
Layoffs seem to be happening on the last Thursday right before the last payday of the month, i.e. May, June, July and August. But hey, maybe Fannie will mix it up this time 🤗
That’s the loudest rumor, so it probably means it’s actually next week.
While I wouldn’t be surprised, I think September will be a month of further reorganization with another large round coming before October begins.
