Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Nothing but lies

I think the frustrating thing is that Cap One has publicly and internally said they will “help redeployed folks find roles internally” and have even said there are enough internal open roles for folks who want to stay. That messaging combined with the fact that great high performing Agilists are being ghosted (at best) or pass a PD for a new job family only to hear that hiring an ADL requires SVP approval is hypocritical. No one is entitled to work anywhere, but don’t say you’re trying to keep people and then make it impossible for those who want to stay to do so.

@bmmm+1lOEnCF8 says it like it is.

At this point who wants to stay at Capital One when they layoff so much. I have moved to 3 departments trying to stay at this place. I’m tired of wondering each quarter if I will be a part of redeployment.

in regards to the ADLs only 2 people have been rehired that I know of, maybe in total 50 ADLs got rehired but considering it was 1,100 people let go that's nothing

Yup, even at the small Pacific Life company with their outsourcing axe swing out of 300 people only 2 slid into other roles

When my Job was outsourced I applied to be a software vulnerability remediation tech for the other division. I was told I didn’t meet the qualifications. 8 weeks later I got a job at First American Title wait for it….. as a vulnerability remediation engineer.

I ended up getting a full time management role at a different org and the manager at First American Title called me a year later and asked if I wanted to be the program manager over that function.

  • The days of changing departments and divisions are over. Once you are marked it’s like your a lepper. Eeesh
