@OP so what incentive at all is there to stay?

  • no pay rises
  • no bonus.
  • redundancy goes down.

May as well just get a new job quickly. Sounds the longer you survive the worse it gets. So wish i had got away first time.

What a horror show.

@48s TB severance packages get less generous over time and subsequent cuts, generally speaking. In early cuts, they need the remaining employees to stick with it while they further evaluate the company they acquired--they don't want extra attrition at that stage. The next cuts are smaller in number and the packages go down. They do that to shift the employee mindset from "I'm OK if something happens" to "I had better be producing or my name will be on the layoff list with a not-great package".

If someone leaves in the later phase, the replacement employee is probably based in India. So why pay a large package to an employee who is cheap to replace with another?

We all know it’s going downhill very quickly. Even so called loyal people know the games up. My biggest anxiety is the pay off. They were pretty decent last time, I would be devastated if the next run was way worse. Make me feel I should have walked last time. Anyone got any insight?

It’s the same setup over here (US) people trying to leave. More layoffs coming our ways.

I would say it’s 50:50 between holding on and trying for a quick escape. Why do people think the pay offs will be reduced? Any evidence?

Most people in my team are looking for other things. The older ones 60 plus are trying to hold on.

@37d redundancy payments arent going to be as generous as last time i do not think. I put forward for voluntary last round but didnt get it. I don't know what to do at this point. I just want to leave. What is everyone else doing?

What are the guys tactics for what next? Are people trying to escape and find new jobs as things get worse and worse? Or holding out for a redundancy payment?

I doibt we will make it to jan. That scam of having half the bonus paid into your wages from jan, they will start scalping before that so they dont have to make those payments… all deferring tactics

We just had another added to our team this week - we're also UK based. There are only a handful of us left - think we got 6 month max. Reckon we'll get another "Company Update" meeting come jan.

Disgusting how they're not even trying to hide their actions. So much of teams time now taken walking new hires thorugh tickets and codebase.

Customers are complaining now too that service is not good. Some are invested and find it hard to leave but over half of the customers i represent would turn our solutions off tomorrow.

I have been surprised by how blatant it’s been. European person with 10 years industry experience replaced by someone with zero industry experience. Just makes everyone’s job harder. No one is safe now. Just a matter of time.

You forgot to mention the removal of the bonuses for majority. And the removal of any performance rating. So incentive to do well is what exactly?! What is the contract stuff in January about?

Sadly, yeah - about half our team has now been replaced by new hires in India. It’s all going to he-l here. The team is completely demoralized, and we’re not making any progress on any of our projects. I expect another more layoffs soon.

And to make things worse, they just got rid of our Christmas / New Year office shutdown, so we’re actually getting less PTO. Oh, and we’re all expected to sign new contracts in January. Jealous of the people who got paid to leave. Wish I’d volunteered.

@1ks yes. Guys getting let go are being replaced directly off shore - exact same role. Morale is terrible but no-one cares

@OP yep, more being recruited into our team when there are people still due to go in the layoffs from march. Mood is cr-p and people across all teams i speak to are now doing bear minimum rather than going out of the way to help. No direction either. TB are awful.
