@2wp incapable management and CFO trying to do the minimum to look like he’s contributing. Now he got the visibility he needs — not only does SV see the absolute dollar cut - all 13k employees all see his work !
More over, many people are on hybrid or remote, so they're not covering everybody's lunch anyway!
Wait, they actually cut lunch? even snacks? These don't cost that much compared to some other wastage like all the BRG events which not only waste money and valuable time, but contributed to nothing. With all the time I was there till June, I really didn't feel any of those events contributed to more "inclusion", it was all superficial. Lunch and snacks should be the least of all concerns when it comes to cost cutting.

Wth the lunch is the FactSet’s culture and only worth benefit, they’re so in need of money they should probably fire duplicate sales people.
Imagine the to be $200k USD annual, that would feed a year of employee in an office of 50 pax.

They’re cutting everything they can, slowly. By the time you realize, it’s already gone. Or if you do notice and get rightfully annoyed, there’s another manufactured fire drill to consume your attention.
I would be more worried about getting RIF'd then about lunch and snacks
