5 days in office coming??

I heard a rumor that Wells is going to move to 5 days in office requirement this summer/early fall. Anyone else hearing this?

It’s a joke. They literally don’t know what the fu-k they want to do. Culture reasons is the greatest and funniest excuse- as if they aren’t in the business of lying, cheating and stealing.

This is why corporations move jobs overseas. No whining about working in an office. I hope they go to 5 days a week for you folks not adhering to the 3 day rules. Bunch of scrubs

Mark my words….If all y’all keep rebelling and missing your required time in office, I bet we will become 5 days in office sooner than you all expect.

I was hired in 2021 as a full time remote employee in mortgage underwriting, but we have been informed that starting this summer we will be required to return to the office every other week. All of the people on my team who were not in a hub area were laid off in November.

They're telling us that it's 3 days in out of every 5, and they're putting that in our 2023 objectives. The catch is that on any day we have a "ceremony" (their new buzzword for "meeting") we have to be in the office, AND any day we're "in the office" then that day has to be a full day there. Since we have these meetings multiple times per day, it really means "in the office every day".

So on one hand they say they're being flexible, but on the other hand they are not.

They dump stupidity on you with the hope that you'll quit and they can save some severance cost. That's the reason this is happening to you, and it makes perfect sense in an evil CEO kind of way. It's not about work, it's not about compliance, it's not about efficiency or collaboration, it's just harassment to motivate voluntary terms.

Can you use your cat for a job reference? Like if you don't know that many people, but know that your cat would give you a good reference.

I work in home lending and they are making us come back in office on a rotation schedule. One week in office, next week work from home. This is to start in July/August. I've been 100% remote since March 2020 and they said we need to come back for "culture" reasons. I think it has more so to do with loan volumes being so low and they don't like the idea of us working from home with not much to do. They rather we pointlessly drive to the office to do a job we have been successfully doing for the past 3 years. When COVID hit and rates were super low and loan volume was extremely high, they told us we would never be coming back in the office and would continue to work from home indefinitely. They sure changed their tune.

Considering site consolidations, this is unlikely. Their aren’t enough seats to put everyone. Stop the trolling and preying on anxieties. 🤦🏻‍♂️
