Processing and sales in home lending….

What if you don't attend the meeting...?
Serious question, as I routinely blwo off meetings that appear irrelevant.
Do they take attendance? I'd hate to keep working if I knew I'd gotten the axe.
“I was displaced. Location strategy reasons. Good luck y’all. Couldn’t be happier.”
Are you in mortgage? If so, sales or fulfillment?
I know several people that got the ax this week/today.
Anyone from home lending get a meeting request?
I was displaced. Location strategy reasons. Good luck y’all. Couldn’t be happier.
Happening today. Got notice of confidential meeting with head of our division in 30 minutes.
They must be doing a couple rounds throughout different areas this month considering all of the 3/21 chatter previously. Keep your head on a swivel.
Can confirm it is happening today. Just got that call from my manager. Whole team (worked in Auto Technology) is being displaced.
They typically use both Tuesdays and Thursdays. Seems quiet so far this morning though.
“Layoffs typically happen on Thursdays any reason why people on this board think it’s today?”
Not true. The last big mortgage layoff was on Tuesday Feb 21
Is anyone getting business strategy or reorg invites?
Layoffs typically happen on Thursdays any reason why people on this board think it’s today?
Be on the lookout for a last minute “business strategy update” call added to your calendar by a manager you never talk to.
Fingers crossed they send me packing
Seriously, good luck everyone. If you're waiting on a package, I hope you get it. If you're a lifer, I hope you get the opportunity to leave this place on your own terms. Godspeed!
@1siv you mean 3/7?
big notice 2/7
Layoffs happened this time last year, but this round is going to be worse. I have a feeling layoffs are going to happen every year at this time until Wall Street is happy.
As someone who has posted on this board since late last year, I have always said “big event in March.” Don’t know exact date, but have heard this from five execs in various calls since end of last year. These calls have been about protecting WF info, etc. from walking out the door with the displaced. I am a Director, so not a peon. Heard 9000 layoffs by mid-year.
All you had to say is home lending. I would consider almost everything gone relating to home lending.
All of this is so cryptic and full of innuendo. Absolutely nothing definitive here.
Is any management level informed in advance or is it a complete surprise to everyone but hr?
For those that claimed to know that it was on 3/21??? I hear crickets now….
how did it go from week of 21st to this week? and anyone know if this will impact home lending?
I'm really curious what other LOBs this mass layoff is going to hit......
For mortgage, I think it’s tomorrow. No inside info, but seems like recent events are pointing to 3/7. Also think the victims will be all remote who are not within commute distance of a hub. This company doesn’t give a sh-t about us, they never have and they never will.
Mike V call on 3/9 got cancelled
We have an UW and credit all team call 3/8 at noon central
nobody believed me. LOL. But here we are. A couple outlets have picked up on the rolling conversations with people. Life happens to you or for you.
