Mass layoffs. Using someone's livelihood to balance the books, right? It is so normal today that we do not even understand how broken and damaging it is not only to human beings but to business. We have literally created a culture which every single day everyone comes to work and lies, hides and fakes. We are asking our youngest generation to work and succeed and find themselves and build their confidence and overcome their addiction to technology and build strong relationships at work? We are asking them to do this and yet theses are the environments we have created. We have to start by practicing empathy and relate to what they may be going thru and it will profoundly change the decisions we make. It will profoundly change the way we see the world.

Wall Street and the concept of public shares is the problem.
Businesses no longer look after the consumer nor employees. It is only about delivering profit to the shareholders.
On top of that the C-suite get most of their compensation in the form of shares.
It has creates a corporate culture where the C-suite captures as much profit for themselves regardless of the health of the corporation and move on to the next business to scam.

Tough to talk empathy when the bank's main activity is to find profitability through the manipulation of money at the expense of something/someone else.
Empathy doesn't seem to fit into the equation.

Ever heard the phrase “tone at the top”? If not, just look at this board. The tone doesn’t seem to be in harmony - then or now.

If you don’t think current culture has any affect on the bottom line, you are the naive one. Our returns are hamstrung each quarter by never ending regulatory issues stemming from toxic culture and ineffective/incompetent management.
This has to be satire. Companies are in business to make a profit, and will make business decisions as such. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are a 20-something liberal who isn't in touch with the real world yet.

Buffett said WF needed a CEO that wasn’t from wall street, instead we appointed the prototypical Wall Street ax man. Get out of here if you are able, there is no culture here.
