Even though i didnt recieve a single one, I had sent half a dozen or more of these out for the people I work with and for, even ones outside my team that I collaborated with. They deserve to know that someone appreciates them. Even if the one who appreciates them is a low life loser like me. They can continue to make fun of me and put me down and enjoy their games but I'm still human and so are they and I will treat them with respect even if they don't deserve it.

Good one Charlie trollster!

People who say words hurt, never got punched in the mouth. Rock it, the #1 mortgage lender while Wells Fargo eats dust

jow+1lscD2A2 the mgrs hired in the last year are terrible and driving attrition.

They never moved up at their old place for a reason.

They hire former banking friends for any open position then within a year they are promoted.

They onboard contractors and then post a full time position and hire them and pass on qualified internal employees.

They can't track a deadline without the benefit of a 6 page powerpoint.

I realized waiting for severance was like dying slowly. So I left without a plan.

I had two offers in the same week, both more money and higher levels.

My advice is get out and don't look back.

Caveat Emptor or let new hires beware.

Well, I got a big old nothing for employee appreciation day. I think there was a company wide or department wide email saying something about appreciation. I already knew I wasn't appreciated so it didn't matter one way or the other.

Yeah, but pampered DEI hires received a $500 gift card for non-managers and $1000 for management… also rumored that the c-suite didn’t know how the 100k+ Indians fit in the grand scheme. Since they are likely a majority of the workforce, they were $hit out of luck.

Previously our team would do a monthly birthday happy hour to celebrate bdays or work anniversaries that month. It wasn’t anything extravagant, just some drinks and a few appetizers and folks went home.

This past year my manager said our budget was basically cut to nothing and we wouldn’t be doing anything like that anymore, also any expenses for business development were HEAVILY scrutinized and many were rejected outright.

My last birthday “celebration” there, just earlier this month, was a group of about 4 of us sitting around the office conference table, sharing a package of cheap grocery store sugar cookies (which were purchased at my managers expense, the $10 would not have been approved).

Worst company I have ever worked for. By far. I received a half-a**ed letter of appreciation myself today. I had a good laugh.

But then again, what do you expect from a company that set their 401k match to the last day in the year because they hope you leave so they don't have to pay you. What a joke.

If they appreciate us so much, then why not just give us our severance package and lay us off instead of us going through this slow painful death. A lot of us know we are on the chopping block it's just a matter of when.

20 Year employee. For 5 years, I received a Bulova Accutron watch. For 10 years, I received a non-personalized cube advertising the company. For 15 years, I received a larger non-personalized cube advertising the company. For 20 years, I was "offered" another cube. I declined the offer of an even BIGGER non-personalized cube advertising the company.

So f*cking tone deaf. What we need is a meeting with management to 1) brag about their background and chat with other senior leaders about how much they love skiing and fine wine so that the plebes can all relate and 2) talk about what losers we are for not being located in a hub location and threaten our jobs with that. My god, this is the WORST company I've ever worked for.

@wnx+1lscD2A2 Thanks for the Instagram post of how I should be working so I don’t care so much how the place treats me. WTF is wrong with you? Pull 💩 from that list while you’re NOT and exec and you can bet your boss will be screaming at you.

All noise right? Executive churn, billboards claiming this or that, bad news being reported, stock price up or down, Meets vs Exceeds, etc.

Tune that out and try coping mechanisms to stay afloat. Notice leadership does these things and are doing just fine.

  • Be present, reduce everything down without considering past/future
  • Be selfish
  • Do I really need to respond to this email right now? What if I just delete it outright?
  • Saying no more than yes is a powerful thing
  • What can I learn at work that is useful for future job prospects?
  • Does it really matter how long things sit in the queue? Hyper prioritize work
  • Are others taking advantage because you are nice and approachable? Stop enabling that now
  • Where roles and responsibilities are unclear, let things fail even if you know the path fwd
  • Most problems are not your problems to solve
  • Realize you are not a business partner. You are not hired with any importance or responsibility to advance the company
  • Hold others accountable for knowing things too. There will always be below average workers willing to drag you down
  • Write long winded comments on thelayoff.com

Try to manage your work day as if you are your own boss. Be creative, take liberties, calculated risks, don't always ask for permission.

Expect nothing from WF and you'll be able to cope.

Funny, middle of last month was my 5 year anniversary here, not even a mention from my Manager (I use that term loosely), not that I care but it's interesting to hear how they USE to at least recognize people willing to tolerate this chaos year after year.

I'm sure it was meant to be sincere....but it's really a slap in the face!
It's like sending thoughts and prayers to families of mass shootings...meaningless!!
just like @qrd+1lscD2A2 ... I'm a 3 decade plus employee and have really noticed this new management has really pushed morale down the drain. WF can kiss my a$$

We used to get lunches or little gifts on our anniversaries. Managers used to get $% per person per month as a budget to spend for morning bagels or nicities for a job well done. Now, we get a corporate email one day a year... never felt so loved before.
