Anyone else who's left still reeling from their experience there? It was not a good experience on so many levels.

Once you leave, make sure you get outside refs. Even though you may be a great employee, managers get resentful when you leave, sit shows up on their attrition stats and it takes away the control they have over you. As you can see on this board, ethics not a strong point of this company. Good work does not get rewarded, sucking up does.
The worst for me is I actually work for a great employer now and am the one in charge (so can cut through all the red tape that used to depress me) and I still get angst about weird political games and stuff that made my life miserable there. I’m trying to let it go but it gave me a seriously depressing perspective on large organizations
There are politics and annoying things about every company, no place is perfect. But the thing I’ve noticed most a year after leaving WF is how nice it is to have pride in telling someone else where I work. It’s a nice feeling. I’m not sure WF will ever get past the reputational damage.

Took me a few months to even start looking for a new job. Just walked around the house shellshocked.
There's something soulcrushing about working for a corporation that continually commits crimes, knowing that you're doing work that supports hurting people, stealing, lying, mostly hurting poorer and middle class folks, Americans, that just eats at you.
If it doesn't eat at you, congrats, you're in the right place.
FYI, when I did start looking took about ten minutes to get offers. I work in tech.

Bernie Madoff had his clueless soldiers, too, who somehow never noticed any wrong doing.
I left two years ago, too, but I have no ill will. I feel for those still there and those that were so mistreated they're still angry.
I had my annual performance review today at my new company. 25% bonus (target was 15%) and 3.5% raise. At WF I was lucky to get the 15% bonus target (rarely got the full amount) and a 2% raise despite steller reviews.
Sometimes the grass really is greener...
My first day at Wells Fargo I remember seeing someone buying a lottery ticket during work hours at the CIC. That told me everything I needed to know.
"Been with Wells 32 years now. Love my job and my boss. What is wrong with you people. Look in the mirror."

For the people who left and feel like they haven’t detoxed or have PTSD - you’re not wrong. If I had a nickel for everyone I worked with there that is in some form of therapy, primarily because of work, I could retire 3x over.
My boss used to crack jokes that he had to ask his doctor to “up his dose” so he wouldn’t get into so many fights with insurance about refilling his meds because he’s taking 1.5-2x his prescribed amount to deal with his boss!
Another woman began seeing a therapist that another coworker recommended and, after several months, the therapist told her that she has almost a dozen WF patients all with some level of PTSD!
These are competent, professional, middle aged people. Not crackpots or losers looking for a cop out from hard work - on the contrary, these are the hardest workers! This place has problems beyond problems.
I’m staying on board for a while longer. I am waiting for the next false flag to work from home FT again. But, enjoy playing with your virus drawings, ukraine flags and ufo’s 🥴

Loved my manager and my coworkers.
No different than any other large corporation.
I made a lot of money there and was paid a large recruiting bonus by a competitor. Can't be too mad at them, although the politics and systems did suck.
When I move on Wells will be in my rear mirror.

Damaged for life. Never met so many people so unprofessional, back stabbing, uncooperative & self serving in my life. All job descriptions there should come with a warning.
Left 10 months ago. Wells is still in may system . My doctor says detox for wells is a 6 year treatment. I still visit this site . I cannot imagine that there is zero change in the place!
I left almost three years ago. The more distance I get, the more amazed I am that a place with that much deadwood and dishonesty manages to survive and even thrive. There's almost a drudging admiration for people who are able to get paid for years for doing the bare minimum, if that. I have to admit, getting by on a--kissing is a talent, and a couple of the managers I had there could give lessons.

Tell us what happened while you were at Wells. It sounds like it was traumatic.
You sound like you might have some personal issues that you need to address if you are still "reeling" for a d-mb job that you left two years ago. Move on.

I’m 8 months out OP and while I don’t hate the company, there’s little to like. I’m grateful for the experience I acquired - including dealing with toxicity on a level most people can’t imagine.
When I think of some of the situations that led to that experience it can really bring me down. Take the good of what you got out of the place and keep moving forward.
Wells has H1b in finance and tech, all are young and top schools
I left my girlfriend and 2 years later I cannot be happier as I look her up on social media.
How' things working out for you now? How long did it take you to find a new Job? Is the new job better/worse?
