Loved this gem from the CNBC article...

Yeah, ok. I've been around a while, and as far as I can tell the company, especially recently, has made every effort NOT to retain employees impacted by layoffs. Even the rarely used STAR program was shut down by Hudson Yards. They don't want to retain anyone, outside of the executives in NYC. Everyone else can be outsourced, contracted, or kicked to the curb because of the "strategic shift" or building sales or whatever other excuses they want to come up with. They want to get rid of us. All of us. The feeling is mutual.

If it's not important or troubling, then they can just go ahead and share the info with the rest of us instead of it being some kind of secret. The lack of transparency causes all kinds of issues.
