Asking for a friend.

Please know that the cities which are considered hubs are fluid; I am aware of a LOB that has changed hub locations a few times in the last year.

Chicago was added as a hub in late 2021 for Corp Risk, nit sure where the rest of you are getting your info from.

Chicago is not a hub for any business unit. That being said, DF has approved hiring in non-hub locations, so you will occasionally see risk jobs posted there.

Chicago's a hub for crime, not much else

Not a hub. I can only think of a couple small groups in risk that would likely even currently hire there, and it would be product based. E.g. risk coverage for CIB activity in options/futures due to CME/NFA. There could be other pockets like that maybe?

Chicago isn't a hub for group. They will be going through a massive downsize soon

if he already works for risk and is in Chicago there is a good chance he can change roles internally within risk and stay in current location. it's the case with most California employees within risk. while ca doesn't have any approved hub locations for risk, it's at the groups/hiring managers discretion to allow for internal transfers there if you are already there.

I had a layover in O'Hare, place smells like ur--e, that city is done for. No business should be there, its worse than Gotham city.

Chicago isn’t a hub for anything at WF.

I knew risk people living in the Chicago land area and illinois and chicago are not hubs. These risk people were allowed to work remotely since 2013 but now based on hub strategies and forcing people to quit if they don't relocate in the past few years. Many of them will be laid off.
