Ha ha ha ha ha ha - oh was not this question a joke??
Scharf has not been here for seven years LOL!
Well can’t really innovate when the leaders don’t know how and will not listen to those who do. Saul has his cheerleader, TK traveling around yapping, dancing and boomeranging telling the masses how we are one and how excited she is. Of course she is because she likes shiny things, she doesn’t understand a thing but she will go Ohhhhh. Digital team is lucky if it could spell the word. Chintan is an arrogant A$$ that thinks he knows more but doesn’t know what customers want.
🙋♀️Not with Charles in Charge!!
Imagine if he were smart enough, ethical enough, innovative enough to spend that $20,000,000,000 he wasted in 2022 on technology rather than corporate stock buybacks.

"Yesterdays technology today"
Wells Fargo
In looking at the jobs board, there seems to have been a huge ramp up of software engineer openings in India for some time. Is this normal, or is it part of a shift towards automation?
The reason Charlie was hired from Visa was that he was an expert at finTech. Also he wanted to RTF (return to family). It's been 7 years. Has any finTech product development occured at Wells Fargo since he was hired? What is his scorecard?
WF, like any other bank, sells banking commodities. That's it. The only thing that differentiates us is access to branches, atms, and online products. Let's stop pretending we have something no other bank has.
Help has arrived to hire quality technology leaders as Saul has hired his feckless toady from JPM to lead the recruitment efforts.
Maybe if there were quality Technologists employed....ones who understand technology is to enable the business, not provide bright 'n shiny new digital toys to play with.
Highly unlikely. Heard this for 15 years now and have yet to see any evidence
No. Nah. Nahin.
We will have the best RTO tracking technology. Everything else… not so much
So Wells Fargo will fail by being too big.
Unlikely.
WF would be a technology-driven finance company if it would embrace technology to solve its business problems.
That's the problem, C-suite can not figure out if we are a bank or a tech company to allocate funds. So they spread the funds too thin.
It’s all the work streams I’m on talk about. There are many of us working on this, however agree C suite doesn’t provide enough resources or quite frankly psychological safety to actually make it happen.
Not until the entire c-suite and 2 layers under them are changed
No - Not with the current executives in charge. There are far too many broken pieces, layers and dysfunction at both the process & people level.
