It’s funny how people thing WF has sophisticated tracking and reporting for RTO. Just because data exists, it doesn’t mean it’s clean, usable, or easy to report on. The reporting has to work for all employee they will report on.
@iyp, I so agree. I have a friend who is a QA manager with Progressive, and he can't believe what I tell him about WF. Since COVID-19, he is allowed to permanently work from home.
WF and their RTO circus...
Your low level team leader may or may not seem like a good person, but middle managers are just suck ups that parrot whatever comes down from the top. Their only skillset is their ability to use business jargon.
If mgrs pushed back en masse, company would have no choice but to concede. It's happened at other cos.
as much as they say it's managers discretion it really isn't. as a manager I can excuse the occasional day/week where my employees don't come in but if they are consistently showing up on the reports as 0-1 days my manager will keep asking me what is going on and at some point it will effect my performance.
We recently lost two of our top performers due to their refusal to RTO.
This is really getting bad.
All that will be left are people that check the box, like me.
I don't blame my manager for it. I blame the CEO and his minions.
Of course IP, how do you think they track those that don't sit in badge access buildings?
It's not that difficult to pull the reporting. Someone just slices up the data and distributes
if WF is really tracking IP?..... what update have they pushed to my BYOD phone to see where I am?
Never forget there are damaged humans with damaged hearts and enjoy watching others suffer that work here. They’re also all around you. Pay attention.
It’s not like lower level managers have any choice at all. Very frustrating but understandable that they are enforcing it or else they would simply be the ones getting sacked. WF is basically a dictatorship at this point.
I really don't want to "die" on the RTO mountain. Besides, those that are non-RTO compliant are making the slackers who come in 3 days a week look good. Keep it up. RTO tracking has become the KPI indicator the upper C-suite has been dreaming of.
Yep. Managers who don't stand up for their teams SVCK!
I wouldn’t think it would pay enough. And SHAME on the managers who refuse to back their teams and simply follow along.
