Are they going to do a pull the bandaid and be done or a series of little cuts until they bleed out?

Not soon enough.
All operations are moving to Des Moines. Relocation expenses will not be provided nor reimbursed.
Chainsaw is a surgeon!
They aren't location specific
LOB specific
Probably after they cut the California folks
The timed layoffs is about calculated risk over paying out severances. A mass exodus would sacrifice stability and interrupt WF's overall strategy. Easier to move forward with mild headaches than migraines. It's all painful; the amount of pain is the system of measurement.
When those cuts happen, Im sure the DEI complaints on this site will be silent....
They believe a thousand cuts are better. Why? Because creating a culture of fear is more likely to result in some people resigning on their own. They want to term at least 50k people. If they do it all at once, they gotta pay 50k severances. If they drag it out, a few thousand people will probably bail on their own. It also reduces the risk of HR screwing up the terms somehow.
little, painful
