capital one is following WF playbook to hybrid work to get employees to quit

In office hybrid work is now expected
Beginning May 2, associates it is expected associates go into office 2 to 3 times a week to be in hybrid mode. Basically tuesday, wednesday, thursday are the days asked to be at work. They're saying its pointless for those to go into the office when others don't. The issue is to tell those who go into office to work from home!! Not to ask those who work from home to go into the office!!

I believe this working in the office is to get people to quit.

Wrong. WFH isn't going anywhere. In the financial industry it's common because of a combination of government pressure and investment in commercial real estate. A lot of the big banks also want to get rid of their domestic employees, and it's just another tool to do that. That is not the case in many other sectors. It's also not universal in finance. PayPal, for example, has gone all-in on WFH and there are no signs of that changing.

a year from now you are going to be hard pressed to find a company where fulltime remote is an option. be thankful for hybrid because that will be the next to go

Most major corporations are enforcing return to office. They are sick of paying all of you lazy people to sit at home to watch your kids, do laundry, or play video games all day.
