Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF does not care about their employees

I'm a 16+ year veteran of Wells Fargo and can attest to this as an employee that has seen this company go down hill year after year. It's horrible enough that I will be ending my career with them in a couple weeks for a better opportunity outside of WF. It's sad that they continue to foster a toxic culture all while telling everyone that they're a bank of doing all they can to make the employee and customer experience better. If they were doing that, they would start with clawing back their management bonuses! It's sad they have management in place crying to their front line workers that they can only give them a 1-3% annual raise all while giving their lazy incompetent managers a 15-30% annual bonus on top of their already grossly inflated salaries that they don't deserve! Can only hope others that work for them see through their bullsh-t and move on to better their own financial well being and mental health because WF does not care about their employees.

An on point post from @2qci+1lNB1QRk.

Op. You’re being criticized for being naive, but I don’t think that’s completely fair. When DEI reports, community events, and happy g-y men on the Kiosks preach a culture of rainbows and unicorns, you could be forgiven for believing WF has a warm fuzzy place in its heart just for you. Sadly, no. Last week’s events have demonstrated the absolute contempt execs have for all their employees. Not indifference (as you should expect) but actual hate. All that sunshine spewing spewing out of SVB’s holes. Those tears when he watched that neuro divergent puppet gush over his new job. All excr-ment in its purest, putrid, form

FWIW, I've worked here for roughly a quarter century. There are only two people out of the thousands I've worked with that I will bother saying farewell to. Workplace friendships aren't always what you see advertised. Most disappear once you're not a daily fixture.

Word of advice for me and all, don't get sucked into this loyalty trap. Work here too long and we end up with these attachments to things at WF (relationships, personal quality of work or expertise, etc) where the value = zero. It is a dysfunctional working relationship, I can't see how anyone can be bubbled off and happy where they aren't affected in some way.

It all boils down to numbers on the balance sheet. The bank controls the levers and switches to please the shareholders, pay the execs.

and why should they? They offered you conditions and you accepted them. for money. sure, this place was nice in the old days, but that was their discretion.

frankly, the 'hoteling' thing is annoying, but.... don't like it?

move on.

@brc+1lQw6d2G don't worry, they'll fix the glitch of that "6 hours working" soon enough. I'm out before they close that gap.

RTO negatively impacts business needs. So, yeah, nice try. I used to work 50+ hours a week. Now I spend a few hours in a car every day and 6 working. I can still get enough done to keep a job, but they aren't getting peak perf until these losers in NYC pull their heads out of their azz (who are we kidding) or they leave the company (coming soon). If they are cool with mediocrity and tanked morale and the work product that results, ok. Also F them.

Stop whining and grow up. Wells Fargo is a business, and business needs come before your feeling. This goes for every major corporation in America.

20-30% bonuses. Lol. Try 40-50% for some.

lolz, what they are doing is destroying the company. It's not good for anyone. It's not even good for the execs considering how many shares they own. They are incompetent and the market cap has not even started to reflect that. When it does, this ridiculous charade will be over and the company will have an opportunity to truly rebound. Not with CS/SP though. Zero chance with that clown show.

No corporations care about you and why do people think they do? That’s laughable but you go ahead and cry because they don’t do what you want and they instead do what is best for the company.
