Ain't no use in criticizing L.e.s.t.e.r. O.w.e.n.s -- just one of those skilled office politicians with a network of buddies who keep hiring him for high-profile jobs.

I wouldn't suggest that all WF execs that are POC are "diversity hires", but when the guys at the top create fake jobs to pad their own DIE stats, it's a diversity hire. When you accomplish nothing and the execs basically say "why don't you go ahead and just stay home, we'll keep paying you", it's a diversity hire. This LO thing is glaringly obvious. Seriously, does anything think LO would be getting this treatment if he wasn't in a favored groups?

How did he fail at his job?

@1aqf+1lQjaOb1 I don’t think that is what is being indicated. This individual failed at his job, and instead of being terminated for failure, he is staying on. The CEO then listed diversity reasons and initiatives that the individual would be staying on to assist with. So In this case study…. Yea he seems to be a DE&I hire

And the Wells Fargo shitshow continues with free admission.

So according to this thread. All executive POC hires are DEI hires? Gotcha…

Wonder if the Ben Crump lawsuit influenced the decision to keep him around. Cause you know optics...

These are DIE metrics you will never see.
Why doesn’t WF start including metrics to show the whole program is a sham?
Add this one to the list. I’ve also seen many execs that have ‘helpers’ to keep them on track.
If someone can’t perform the job, find someone that can. The company depends on it.

Step One: be a minority
Step 2: actually that’s it no need for step 2. If he was not a minority he would be off the payroll. This is how DE&I works in real time, perfect case study.

Didn't want to RTO, but CS needs him around to prop up their executive DIE metrics so they can hire more JPM bros. So, now he gets paid for pretty much nothing. Tough gig.

Wonder if this was at all related to the cancelled Powell meeting that was supposed to announce….something.

The BS is that he gets to remove himself from responsibilities and still get paid. How do we get that job?

I never spoke to the guy or heard him speak. Except for the one time he did the intro to a Mental Health discussion with Olympian Aly Raisman. He said both her first and last name wrong while she had to sit there and blink through it. Even though he probably shuffles from one thing to another on his schedule with very little knowledge, I would've thought an admin or other corporate person would have told him 2 minutes beforehand, "Her name is Aly Raisman, she is a gymnast, she will be discussing mental health." I guess that didn't happen or he still managed to butcher her name. Not a reflection of how he leads Operations, but my skepticism was reinforced by that dazzling performance!

Kept on for DEI number, otherwise would be out. This wasn't his choice.
