Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

There is NOTHING we can do properly

Having served 5 years I received the email saying they'd be sending me a lucite plaque to use in my fireplace. Did it arrive, no, it's been 3 months. We can't even thank people for tolerating this he-l hole without screwing it up.

You have to order it yourself. I have many years of anniversary cubes. I got no congratulations from anyone except canned emails from CEO We beg customers for their loyalty but for loyal employees we give them a pink slip. Pathetic! Shame on wells fargo for the way they treat employees but then again we should expect nothing more

Just when you think you’ve seen the most pathetic example of dysfunction, WF says, “Hold my beer…”

Case in point: I’ve got an employee who’s retiring. After I entered the termination event in Workday, I got a link to a To Do list of items to address in advance of their last working day. One of those was “Order retirement award” which was probably some d-mb plaque. So there’s a link with info on how to do that only it redirects to another page which basically tells you there’s nothing for the manager to do, after the employee’s last day, they’ll automatically get sent info on how to order their own gift, using fake points or whatever. Anyhow, big ol waste of my time - if there’s nothing for me to do, go ahead and drop that item from the to do list and give me 5-10 minutes back.

Typing this out, it doesn’t sound that bad, but multiply this kind of dysfunction by 100 and it’s death by 1,438,924 paper cuts, along with the realization that untold individuals and whole teams have jobs that amount to pretty much creating this kind of dysfunction.

I have a 15 and a 20 I can send you. What’s your address? I was gonna use these for target practice but how much are they worth to you?

Well, at least it was acknowledged. At my 5 year mark, I didn't get anything. No acknowledgment whatsoever. Months after the fact, I asked about it. My manager rummaged around in her old desk and found the certificate I was sent. She claimed that when it came months earlier someone, she didn't know who, put it in her old desk instead of handing it to her. Other people on my team got gift baskets at the 5 year mark. Oh well... I'm just here for the paycheck at this point.

"You needed to order it yourself. The email has a link to place the order."

False: "In honor of your anniversary, we have sent a Lucite-framed anniversary certificate to your home as a keepsake."

You didn’t get a pin? Boo freaking hoo. If you’re unhappy about your situation, change it. No one is forcing you to work here.

Well, now that you've reached 10 years, you will never get another happy anniversary call or email from management, including your manager. We can give bail-out for $5 BILLION $$ to another bank for poor management to protect the cronies, but we can't buy a freakin' cup of coffee for an employee on the anniversary, birthday or employee appreciation day.

Actually @zrg+1lLKfbTB not that's not what the email says, it says one has been sent, no big deal it would end up in trash anyways but just another nail in the coffin of this place when it comes to employee appreciation.

You needed to order it yourself.
The email has a link to place the order
But it does take a month or more after you place the order

I didn't get my 1 or 5-year anniversary pin until my 10-year one came. It was fun seeing all the 1 and 5-year pins at everyone else's desk who had been here less time than me, though.

Was almost as much fun as the three years in a row that management declined to promote me, even though I did the job of a senior person on my team and did twice as much work as each one of them, because I wasn't "expensive enough" to justify a promotion.
