So far I heard of 12 people across the Tech world that got laid off today. Some being in hubs and some that were not. So let's see how many more and when will it happen again.

Tech and remote, still here. Survived 5 rounds so far. Zero idea where I fit into any workplace strategy, on an island of nothingness, maybe the star of my own Truman Show.
Hub Location for Tech. Various tech positions eliminated. Out of 40 or so of us, 12-15 affected. Many do not have any backups or duplicate engineers/analysts.
All being notified today or are more coming Thursday?

I heard 15% - 20% were being let go between today and Thursday.
True, but I'm sure OP doesn't know all 28k either. If you know 20 peeps and 12 get canned, it's possible it's a pretty major cut.
12 people out of more than 28K+ is not "major".
