Been layed off twice, outsourced once in my career. Layoffs blow.
Gotta treat your career as new chapters in life. Expect every job going forward knowing that it might end. Save money while you are working to lessen the blow and things will be ok. Usually, the next job is better than the old.
I'm so sorry to hear- as bad as things are here, being let go is scary. Best of luck to you- I hope this a stepping stone to better things.
Best of everything to you going forward, each of 10+ tech people around me let go in past six months is better off. Some got new tech jobs w/ better pay, some started a small biz, some are close to retirement and finding a bunch of fun part time jobs to get them through.
