It is pretty sad when upper management advises they will take our feedback into consideration in regards to returning to the office 2 days a week versus three days a week. If that was truly the case then they would have noticed how many teammates applied for accommodations after being told we would need to be in the office three days a week.
I think what management is missing is the fact at 2 days a week no one really complained but everyone was pushed over the edge when it went to 3 days a week.
Think of the face slap to top performers who prior to COVID were only in the office 1 day a week instead of 3 days a week. Top performers were told that before the pandemic the work from home was based on performance
,but now it is being allowing all teammates the opportunity. You get nothing for being a top performer you are just like the lowest performer.
Management also said that we feel more safe coming back into the office which is laughable. Everything I am in the office someone is sick and still comes in due to not wanting to take a sick day. Our office is never clean. There are crumbs on desk and floor.
Let's talk about collaboration. The only thing people talk about is how much they hate being in the office. The atmosphere is so toxic. It is extremely hard to do this job when other people doing your same job are able to work 100% remote.
It was proven during COVID and our busiest time that we were more productive when we were at home.
TRUIST is forcing teammates to get accommodations instead of revisiting the hybrid model at being 2 days a week in the office. From my understanding it is very easy to obtain.
