ACCOMODATION REQUESTS FOR MORTGAGE TEAMMATES AT ALL TIME HIGH

It is pretty sad when upper management advises they will take our feedback into consideration in regards to returning to the office 2 days a week versus three days a week. If that was truly the case then they would have noticed how many teammates applied for accommodations after being told we would need to be in the office three days a week.

I think what management is missing is the fact at 2 days a week no one really complained but everyone was pushed over the edge when it went to 3 days a week.

Think of the face slap to top performers who prior to COVID were only in the office 1 day a week instead of 3 days a week. Top performers were told that before the pandemic the work from home was based on performance
,but now it is being allowing all teammates the opportunity. You get nothing for being a top performer you are just like the lowest performer.

Management also said that we feel more safe coming back into the office which is laughable. Everything I am in the office someone is sick and still comes in due to not wanting to take a sick day. Our office is never clean. There are crumbs on desk and floor.

Let's talk about collaboration. The only thing people talk about is how much they hate being in the office. The atmosphere is so toxic. It is extremely hard to do this job when other people doing your same job are able to work 100% remote.

It was proven during COVID and our busiest time that we were more productive when we were at home.

TRUIST is forcing teammates to get accommodations instead of revisiting the hybrid model at being 2 days a week in the office. From my understanding it is very easy to obtain.

ALL OF THIS!!! We were told we could only use certain days for appointments, and if you have an appointment on a scheduled office day, then you have to make it up on another day, even if the whole damn building is empty! New higher up management just trying to make a name for themselves and look good smh

@dcya+1lGvX9zR go to the doctor and get an accommodation. Heard they are very easy to obtain..go to your dr and tell them you have anxiety driving to work during rush hour...it works for us in ATL .best of luck to you...go out like the rest of your teammates

I'd like to know how out of 22 people on my team only 5 have to come to the office 3 days a week. How is it our fault that you closed their centers down, and kept them but they are still remote? Even people who are within the 2 hrs office rule don't have to come in? Why? And now the required 5 is dropping, one got excused and another one doesn't have to come and another makes excuses not to come so really only 2 of us do and heavens forbid you can't make it on a day you have and you have to do make up days?? And don't get me started on other depts...

The real smartest kids in room, CIB, are requiring four days a week in the office.

You have to be in the office to justify their new building, or else they have egg on their faces. Either way, they have to pay up on whatever building-related contracts were signed prior to Covid.

Agreed. I hate being in the office three days a week..Two was barely bearable. Now at three days a week in the office, I am miserable. My mental and physical health are suffering. My blood pressure has gone back up when I had it under control while being at home.

Monday night I start getting angry knowing I have to be in the office on Tues, Wed and Thurs.

On top of that we have to share space with Direct operations as well. No one in the mortgage division is happy. It would cost TRUIST NOTHING to allow teammates to go back to two days a week in the office or do a performance based incentive work from home that was done previously.

I am a middle performer so I can escape layoffs because what does being a top performer get you......ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

I was a branch leader in Columbia, SC. I left a year ago. I loved working for BB&T. After the merger, the entire bank turned into a complete sh!t show. There is so much opportunity out there. Connect with people on LinkedIn, apply for jobs that you think you'll enjoy doing and drop Truist like a used rubber!

I got caught in the layoff since then I was able to finish up on my degree. At first I was really down even though the whole situation was toxic then and it sounds like nothing has changed 🙃

WOW! I couldn’t have said that any better! The whole situation has made me sick both mentally and physically. Some of us that work within what they consider close enough to drive to the office don’t actually live close! Most of us all work in an entirely different county and have to drive almost an hour each way to and from work! And then don’t forget the extremely high cost of parking. Absolutely ridiculous! If I hear the word CARE one more time I think I just might completely lose my mind!
