Don’t pet the customers cockroaches and rats.
I’ve had to deal with snakes, birds, rats, bats, cockroaches, centipedes, scorpions, spiders, cows, horses, pets, squirrels, wasp and many other creatures during my installation and repair years. The worst can be some of the customers and their unrealistic expectations while cussing you out for things beyond our control.
Don’t pet the customers dog, cat or iguana.
Don’t forget the rafter walking and back crawling in low spaces with spiders, other insects and animals also working in nasty houses and businesses. If they are lucky to get in core you can add manholes and dug pits to the list. That’s after they locate the trouble while trying not to get run over while working in the outside elements or bit by Fido. Heat, Cold, Rain, Sleet or Snow… you’ve got to go! My bonus is counting on you, said the manager!
All customers will tell you their dog don’t bite, don’t fall for that one. Had a friend get multiple stitches on both arms from the “friendly dog”.
AT&T is hiring installers. After you complete pole climbing and ladder safety then on to installs. All laid off employees encouraged to apply. Sales is for wimps.

A big move this yet to offshore most service jobs. Look for monthly closing of call centers. We've been having to write d-mbed down guides for everything like tsri and sys the last few months and we are just now firing out why. Had to assume those needing them were not native English speakers and were told to make everything as simple as possible.
If you thought service was bad before, it is about to become a nightmare.
Inside sales org all gone
Massive layoffs for the inside sales folks. AT&T clearly wants to outsource all corporate sales. Insanity.
No layoffs at the VP level and above!! More perks and free jet time.
With the way things have been going, I’m just trying to get through 3/16!
