For everyone who has proclaimed how miserable you are working here;
If you're still here in April and you have been holding out hope for a package what is your move? If you don't get the golden ticket this month it might not ever happen (unless in mortgage-maybe). Do you stay on in misery or do you maintain what little bit of your mental health and just get out?
Unfortunately, racist corporations absolutely are 'ordinary' these days. Sorry, I'm not gonna be the guy telling Rosa Parks to change seats because it's the ordinary thing to do. I'll resist racist BS and discrimination at every opportunity, and DIE is the primary culprit at WFC.
My stress level went way down and my stress level is back to practically non-existent since I left WF.
Yes, I have less PTO now but I also now receive raises that keep up with inflation. Doesn't hurt that I work for a union that cares for its staff and members.

Stick it out. I’ll get cut eventually, if not this round then the next one. I’ll retire whenever it happens, so I’m not walking away from the severance package.
I’m riding this gravy train as long as I can. I don’t care what the final destination is as long as I keep collecting my big fat paycheck.
It’s my way of sticking it back to the man.
Over 12 people I worked with the last 2 years have either quit, retired or was laid off.
Guess how many of those people are better off? 100%.
Can't argue with those results.
A few are in new jobs this year w/ better pay (maybe less PTO) and overall benefits.
It isn't all bad, unless you are so highly specialized where you are unable to switch industries or parallel roles with ease.
The 6% on 401k is only paid out on the last business day of the year, which is a travesty.
Why wouldn't you stay and collect the 6% on your 401K while you can?
Either severance or outlast the MFs in NYC. Either way works for me. Viva la Resistance.

Stay and wait it out. It is bad everywhere.

I’ve worked here too long and have too many good connections. That’s hard to give up. I also don’t think I’d be able to get paid what I do today.
@wkp here, forgot to mention I'm a long-term thinker/planner and my timeframe for voluntary termination is a few years from now.
It may be wearisome and shameful to remain here but it's also an easy paycheck. I don't mind adding another 2 weeks onto my already-significant potential severance. It also gives me time to bank up some PTO, just in case.
If you're not looking to change fields completely, I'd recommend sticking it out for the Comp Package. The Mortgage Industry isn't exactly doing well at the moment and jobs are hard to come by.
