wait. They might give you severance or will it be like silicon valley bank before 3/21 ? sky is falling and our leaders have no clue. People are going to move the money to different accounts to cover under FDIC insured. It will create chaos in the banking system.
@ifw+1lAxbNxx Serious answer, nothing is stopping you from giving 60 days notice. Unless you have a specific contract though the experience will be completely in the hands of the employer. They can accept it and have you work the entire period, accept and work some other amount or they can reject your notice and terminate you immediately with no free paid days or they can reject it and respond with an alternative. Retaining access may be a risk but it will be weighed out based on the personnel file and he individuals access levels. There is no way to game the system by putting in 3, 4 or 5+ weeks of notice thinking you’re going to be walked out and paid that entire period.
There's no law they need to respect your 2 week notice or whatever time period. They could kick your a out the door immediately.
Stupid to do this. Wait until after 3/21
Serious question, if you're in a biz where you get shown the door immediately, what stops people from giving a 60 day notice that they are leaving the company? I mean if it's a risk to leave your access intact...
Be prepared exit immediately.
They'll 100% pay you for the two weeks. They may or may not required you to work.
