It's funny, most of the tech people in Northstar were in the JC campus back in ~2009. It's come full circle. I would have been caught up in this but left Wells last year. I will never miss driving downtown in rush hour traffic. Makes me wonder, how many had to leave JC campus to move thousands in? We tried getting back into JC for years, funny how things change.
More home mortgage workers going to new jobs within the company and moving to a new building. Maybe more layoffs in IA to come?. CA and IA are Old. Time for all the jobs to move to Texas, North Carolina, the Philippines and India. Places Wells can spend less money on employees
Seems a lot of people didn't even read the article. All it's saying is how many people will be relocating from downtown to West Does Moines. I would say a good chunk. Why do we care what the city says if it doesn't fit the Wells agenda. The bottom line is that we have too much space. People don't want to be downtown and some of the other buildings are cheaper
They always denied Frederick would exit also, while every “team member” knew years ago when they didn’t redesign the building or put a gym in or executives never came to visit. If no one from NY isn’t viditing your building, count on it being closed shortly.
Everything is all a web of secrets. That is why so many employees come to this site. Otherwise, employees would be totally blind. Transparency is only for the pe—ons so that the powers to be have information on who to get rid of first. It’s so disgusting. Been here for 30 years and never saw such deceit and bs. He—ll, you got a guy that r-pd a fellow female employee and he’s still working here. Must be a J.P. Morgan “friend”. Never would’ve happened even 3 years ago.
It's complicated by contractors, but yes, we can still do that kind of thing.
Former team member here. Can't anyone still go into the teamwork directory and do a people search by location address and get the total number of people assigned there? Pull for Skyview, Tower, and Founders and add together.
Then email it to the mayor.

Does Wells actually have a plan? They have talked about exiting Correspondent, and cutting back on Home Lending, but haven't given Correspondent people an actual date. They also don't seem to be communicating with the home lending people.
Wells Fargo isn't disclosing the number of employees currently working in downtown Des Moines or how many will remain by the end of this year, company spokesperson Mike Slusark tells Axios.
Why it matters: Knowing these numbers could help the city work with its community partners to fill the voids that will be left, DSM Mayor Frank Cownie tells us.
Catch up fast: Wells Fargo announced last month that it's vacating two of its three downtown buildings and one of its West Des Moines sites later this year
