Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Day 2 of Forced In-Office BS

Made it through the second full day of forced, “big brother is watching your badge swipes”, in-office work. So far it’s been just as pathetic as the last couple of times this was attempted by upper management.
Massive number of vacant desks, maybe 10 total people on an entire floor.
No whiteboarding, no networking, just utter BS.

Been back long enough to know with certainty that it's a COMPLETE waste of time. FNYC/FRTO.

WF won't have a choice in the matter, just like the buggy whip makers and stage coach builders didn't. We are doing things inefficiently. It will fail when the competition chooses wisely and destroys this company. Can the current execs do it? Sure, they can do whatever they want within the law, but they can't alter the economics of the situation.

Working for an employer that expects you to be onsite is your choice. You are not being “forced” to do anything.

Day 2? Lollll most of us have been back a year. I’m so numb and demoralized from this but your day 2 story made me laugh. My day 2 I left after lunch but the resentment lasts until about month 6 before you become helpless too. Xo

Let’s be real. There are plenty of more important things to bi--h about than return to office.

I totally agree with the last post. The new management will have the same RTO policy. Let's pray this hybrid model lasts as long as possible, at some point, we may be asked to return full time. This is not just Wells Fargo and it will not change, whether you like it or not.

hate it or not, rto isn't going away and more and more companies are moving away from remote and to hybrid at max. Be thankful we have hybrid. If you don't like going to the office the get a doctor's note, move to a team where they have an exception, or quit. everyday the bulk of the posts on this site are rto related. we get it. you don't like it, and most would agree it doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

I'm sure you said the same thing about 8 Is Great, but some of us have the morals and foresight to understand and oppose failed policies that will hurt the company and our future. This current regime will be gone in a year or two. Until then, viva la resistance and FRTO.

Saw one guy sleeping head down on his desk the whole time on my floor another lady was yelling on the phone as if she was in her own house alone. People lost their etiquette or ability to be humane. HR needs to send an email out about how to behave in the office.

My hub location was noticeably busier. Still no more in person collaboration than before. Plenty of loud talkers and background noise when on calls. Depressing. I hate RTO more than when we started. We learned nothing.
