RTO and 1/2 Day of PTO?

Anyone have experience with this, especially in 2023?

With a 3/2 schedule, if I take a full day of PTO, the PTO day counts as an in-office day, so I’m required to be in the office that week for 2 days and WFH 2 days.

However, if I take a half day of PTO, does a half day of PTO still count as an in-office day?

I’m quitting today! Fu-k this place! A few of you are cool, the majority are boosted and hopeless.

Thank you!!!

And to answer the other comments… I grudgingly deal with all this because I’m in a situation where I need to keep my job, and at least for right now, this is my best option. But I don’t plan to go in to the office any more days than is absolutely required. And no, I can’t do this all year, but it’s an effective way to use my PTO Carryover.

OP - the answer is (currently) yes.

Might it change down the road? Maybe.

But right now any PTO is equivalent to being in the office as far as reporting goes.

I count a half day as a “badge swipe” ( I don’t call them “in office days” cause to me it’s nothing more than a badge swipe….)

At some point you will run out of PTO. Rather then deal with all of this I resigned. I am able to walk away with no financial problems.

You are being controlled! Like a sheep. What kind of place do you work at?! A North Korean labor camp?! They don't trust you to be an adult?!

I don't know for sure. But, if you go to the office for the 4 hours you are working then leave early due to PTO that should count as an in office day.
