Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Does anyone know anything about the CR COE?

CR COE = Customer Remediation Center of Excellence

I just started working in this department. It seems to be some kind of ECMO off shoot.

The position seemed great so I took it. Now, I'm wondering how stable the job is. Just found out alot of ECMO got shutdown. Wondering when the axe will fall on the CR COE?

Center of “Excellence” ’should have been your tip here. Where in Wells have you ever seen “excellence?” C’mon.

Fixing customer mistakes as a result of the government giving you a spanking (and therefore more intense government oversight) should provide more job security than say a marketing or branch role. But I also think it depends largely on the role you're in. I believe most of the data analysts should be safe since they really do a lot of the heavy lifting with the work. Some of the other roles are probably a little more fluff and not so needed. However, I would also say that the work is mind-numbingly boring. It really gets into the weeds on process and policy, and in a data lead role there is very little need for real technical skill.

I was in Ecmo and let go it is only safe until they can offshore to Philippines. Which if you looks is happening all the time.

Seems like there would be a lot of job security working with Wells Fargo’s customer complaints 😉.

I think that would be an interesting job. Most importantly, you’ll get a lot of insight and working knowledge of many areas of the bank as well as making contacts around the bank. This should make you an attractive candidate for jobs up the food chain. Good luck!

The CR COE (Remediations) and ECMO (Complaints) were quite separate until Andy Rowe accepted a different position in 2022 and then they re-org’d. Now Laura reports to Michelle Adams. Laura is now leaving (or left) and Jason will head the CR COE (now called Enterprise Remediations). The entire group has been renamed as well, from Enterprise Customer Excellence to Enterprise Complaints and Remediations. Don’t think there have been layoffs in Remediations like there have been in Complaints. From what I hear, lots of movement and reorganizations over there. Just go with the flow, deal with changes, and you should be fine.

CR CoE is the arm that remediates customers who got hosed and sodo--zed by WF related to a current or past product orr service that harmed them. They make the bank whole with current and former customers who were harmed. CR CoE is just a fancy se-y name for it. Clear now?! Welcome to da Circus.
