Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

What does “Investing Millions of $$ for the latest Amenities“ mean to you? Expectations?

Real Talk - What is everyone’s thoughts on what WF means when they said they’re investing millions for the “LATEST AMENITIES”? Will WF be investing in experienced Chefs, meditation pod’s, cool down rooms, Hammocks, in-house daycare, and fancy break rooms with ping-pong tables? Or will they simply be cramming lactation stations in the basement, and ensuring executives have their own free parking spaces with their name on the sign? Thoughts/Predictions?
I vote pong! Maybe a few tables will make us better together, and increase collaboration lol.

Perhaps it means getting rid of the mold that activates my allergies whenever I have to go to a meeting in Uptown.

$9,999,000 investments in C-suite offices, parking, landscaping, "green initiatives".
$1,000 earmarked for the next all-employee pin campaign

Couldn't agree more, I should have prefaced it by noting that RTO is stupid for many many roles at this company, but if I was in one where in-office made sense...

Hmm yes no rats and roaches would be a good start.

Better yet, save that money, consolidate real estate, and be a forward thinking company that has an ability to retain talent. That means letting RTO die.

More pesticide-ridden coffee pods to keep us working in our slave cube, with enough energy to make it home in ~1 hour traffic afterwards. Thanks Wells Fargo 💕

You nailed it. The only thing I’d add is fewer days to commute, and they are intentionally failing on that one too.

I go to the YMCA at 1Wells. Wells Fargo owns that Atrium area as well. So that's kind of like a cafeteria. But yea, nothing at 550 yet. Hopefully soon!

Need to build a gym in the building. A good cafeteria would be nice too. These are things that are pretty standard at most F 500 companies. It’s embarrassingly that we don’t have them here at WF (I’m referring to the Duke building in Charlotte).

How about a “happy ending” at the end of each work day in the office?

There's only two amenities I care about. Free parking and privacy. CPG often fails to provide the former, and they intentionally fail at the latter.

They have to revamp the Duke Energy building since they're abandoning 1 WFC. Hudson Yards also needs golden toilets for a select few.

Gelato?

Apparently, some of my peers recently went to Hudson Yards where there were tons of free snacks everywhere including gelato. Must be niiiiice.

Toilet paper in the bathroom and garbage cans in each cubicle.

Well... considering they removed the cafeteria where I am at, and the sandwiches in the vending machines expired in January; maybe they mean food that hasn't expired? Or maybe they will offer decaf coffee pods. I'd be equally happy with the trash being emptied since the one in my aisle hasn't been emptied since November.

Rumor has it we will have options to play Atari in the break room. I am hoping to break my record in Pitfall
