Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Salary Continuation and Benefits

So, long story short, I was displaced last year and have passed my 60 notice period. I had been told by the displacement HR people that my benefits would continue while I was on Salary Continuation but just found out, at the pharmacy, I am no longer in any healthcare plan.

I can't even login to the Cobra site to see what info may be there, but my understanding was that I'd keep my medical and dental and pay for the 8 weeks that I would be on the Severance package.

Is this NOT true? I guess I'll have to sign up for Obamacare in case I don't land a job soon and I can't afford the $1500/mo. to cover my husband and myself via Cobra.

I'll be blowing up the displacements team on Monday to get this figured out but if anyone else could chime in, I'd appreciate it!

Just got off the phone with displacements and they said it is a "known issue" and they will file a high-priority case with the benefits team. If there's no update by tomorrow, I'll start escalating. This is BS!

Call the number on the packet you rcvd to see what is going on. They deleted my profile instead of disabling it when I was laid off. It took 3 weeks for someone to figure it out.

Hope you get it sorted, and if they don’t figure it out in a week, contact your state’s department of labor.

When I was laid off my benefits continued as long as I was on salary continuation. Everything was the same except for the commuter benefit.
Sorry you have to deal with this hassle on top of everything else. Hope you get it straightened out quickly.

Continued coverage during salary continuation but you had to enroll during enrollment period. After salary continuation is done then you have cobra option. This is how it works, not sure what happened to you but def worth a call on Monday.

Fwiw, I had Aetna and had already selected my plan for 2023 AND verified my dependent.

There is NO info when I log in to Aetna about the old plan. I logged into Rally and earned $50 for taking the health survey, and I logged into the Aetna site earlier this week and saw my new card.

Idk what's going on but appreciate your comments here. 🤷‍♀️

If you were on the 60 day notice during annual enrollment in November, you would have had to select a plan during annual enrollment for your plan to continue, even while on salary continuation. It’s not automatically rolled over to 2023 - they don’t know which plan you would select.

I always was told that while you are on the severance package and don’t have new job, then you were on WFC insurance. Has that part of severance changed?

Your benefits terminate at the end of the 60 day notice period.

This should be in the packet you received.

It was a ploy to get you to sign whatever you needed to sign to get the ball to rolling to get you out of the door without a hassle on the wat out.

Did you have UHC? Maybe has something to do with that other post claiming Wells didn't send their participants to UHC.
