Before you apply anywhere, make sure to check their layoff history. Many are doing the exact same thing as this place. I almost jumped to a competitor, then I checked their page and saw they're constantly cutting staff too. Big names aren't always safe names.

Good luck finding any organization this side of the federal government that basically guarantees a lifetime position.
Appreciate the sentiment behind the posting, but not every company has held layoffs every 2 weeks since 2020. Most of our competitors held specific layoff actions that were announced in advance and had a specific start and stop dates. Only WF employee have been tortured with an environment of perpetual layoffs and forced performance rankings that are meant to mark people for elimination. We are being forced to live in nonstop fear. It's not normal- and likely why none of us have yet to see this year's survey results reported at the enterprise level.
Layoffs are one thing, eternal layoffs are another. Most companies have not continually shrunk headcount YOY for the better part of a decade. What's happening at Wells is abnormal.
That said, the grass isn't always greener and you should always do your research before jumping ship.
I would just go into every opportunity in this day and age assuming layoffs will eventually happen. If the new opportunity is a better opportunity with higher pay, just take it. You cannot control layoffs.
I recently took a job and during orientation, they brought in HR who boasted about never having layoffs directly to us. In the back of my mind I said: "Ya, until you are forced to do it. Then its unprecedented."
