Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Home office meeting was a joke

Their answers to questions were so bad. They are so disingenuous. There feels like there is so much more of a push to do more work and their answers are just around that they do so much research on pay, bonuses are good, etc.

We don’t buy it. Why even act like you are being transparent when your answers are so bad.

At this point we just need a complete reset / ELT roster. They've lost the firm.

@bt I know! What’s up with the giggling when talking about serious topics! I found the entire meeting to be unprofessional and insulting.

No home office GP willing to take the stage. They know.

This place gets more sketchy by minute. It's never been squeaky clean, but there was always an unwritten agreement that the higher ups would do their thing, and the associates would be treated with respect in exchange for lower pay VS the rest of the field. The cr-p pay was offset by job security, flexibility, and remote work options. All that is gone with no increase in pay. Do these clowns really think this business model is sustainable? Put the adults back in charge ASAP!

The response continues to be high level non answers and a laughing matter. When the question was asked about fair pay and JK answered we’re doing a benchmark study. Are you serious? We’ve been told that for 10 yrs. It was deprioritized over the last 5 years because the job market was too hot for you to afford it. A GP was asked to leave over pressing the issue. Now, you want to complete a study when the job market su-ks. This is seriously the leadership we’re dealing with.
What’s with putting the second and third level leadership as the front line for this. More senior leaders hiding. Where was Digital leadership to talk about the poor system performance?
