Rumor is IM’s are being tracked. I had always heard they could look at your IM’s but didn’t unlike emails.

What do you mean monitored? Like for key words or inactivity? I had no idea
I imagine they elongated the time between surveys because they now just mine all emails/teams chats/transcripted calls for the same analytical information they were trying to get out of the survey. Microsoft has a ton of tools for this on the enterprise level and they have copilot tools to allow executives to get detailed summaries of basically whatever they want to learn about going on in the company.
ALL Teams IM chats are permanent records of Medtronic. They could/can review them if legal action is necessary. Best to say anything orally vs text. I’ve asked Corp Legal if they mine/review IM chats and got a funny Fauci response. It’s all discoverable from a legal perspectives. Pack up the bo-g and forget about it. Let GM worry about it.

Reason #1million, why you do not install ANY MDT product on your peroneal phone, tablet or PC. And don't even think about reusing some old MDT device for personnel fun or give to the kids. I thought everyone already knew this fact.
In my first job at medtronic the managers would spend half the day remotely monitoring people’s screens. Then the would get mad when people talked poorly about them and hold it against them in work assignments, shift preference, etc. Honestly felt like high school.
Not sure why this is a surprise. Even before Teams, they could pull all conversations with Cisco Jabber. It’s common sense not to trust your conversations will stay private on a company-owned computer.

@OP What are they going to do? Fire everyone who wrote negative IMs? That would be like 99% of the workforce lol
