Curious as to how a VG early in your career affects your career prospects with the company. Are you limited in how far you can go? Looking for personal experience

@OP honestly wouldn’t worry about it, VG is decent. I would be more worried about your job being sent to our “friends” in BTC
@OP It depends on how early you are in your career. Less than 5 years without being OWD means you won't be sponsored and probably won't survive to retirement.
@ad how much faster do promotions come at those ranks? Do E and O years get wiped out by a G or VG?
VG is fine. New employees come into VG. Sometimes there can be momentum if you move up and people come in below you or if you move down and people come in above. It is not really limiting, but promotions do come faster in E and O
@OP if you are in the MAC it won’t really I think that’s pretty much the default ranking. If you aren’t in MAC and it’s a ranking you got in the first couple of years at a lower CL, it could be tougher.
