Humana Q2 Earnings Call Coming up Next Week

I wonder what kind of malarkey the CFO & CEO are putting together to make Humana look so good. Wonder if they will say anything about all the qualified and experienced workers they are displacing.

Humana, and all of these large for-profit health insurance corporations, need to have their Medicare & Medicaid contracts taken away by the government. These corporations have milked and taken advantage of a system that has propped up these corporations that are not only fulfilling their end of the bargain.

The whole reason for these cooperations administering Medicare Advantage, in lieu of Traditional Medicare was to help keep costs from getting out of hand by guarding against fraud, waste, and abuse. But instead of fulfilling THAT mandate, these corporations are lining c-suite executives and shareholder’s pockets with millions of dollars, all the while in denying catastrophic health claims to the elderly, poor, and disabled AND displacing its own American citizen workforce with cheaper temporary H-1B Visas. And these corporations are not even dealing with the fraud, waste, and abuse. But they are denying legitimate claims.

These for-profit corporations would not even exist if not propped up by American tax payer monies. And yet they continue to layoff their very own country’s (Americans) workers, some of which even served their country during wars. This is a slap in the face to this country!

Humana Inc (NYSE:HUM) reported its second-quarter 2026 earnings results this morning, beating Wall Street's expectations for both revenue and profit
. Despite the strong numbers, the stock is down over 7% today because the company kept its annual profit forecast unchanged.
Here are the key takeaways from the announcement:
Financial Performance: Humana reported total revenue of $40.87 billion (up 26% from last year) and adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $7.61, outperforming the $7.22 expected by analysts.
Medical Costs in Check: The company's "benefit ratio"—the percentage of premium revenue paid out to cover medical costs—came in at 91.2%, meeting company expectations and providing reassurance to investors concerned about rising care costs.
Outlook Disappointment: While competitors like UnitedHealth Group Inc (NYSE:UNH) recently raised their full-year profit projections, Humana merely affirmed its adjusted full-year profit forecast of at least $9.00 per share
. Investors had been hoping for an increase, leading to disappointment and a drop in the stock price.
Lowered GAAP Forecast: Humana slashed its unadjusted (GAAP) annual profit projection to $6.52 per share from $8.36.
This drop is due to lower-than-expected Medicare Advantage Star Ratings, which cut into the financial quality bonuses the company receives from the federal government.
Strategic Changes: Executives announced that Humana will exit certain Medicare plans next year, impacting roughly 600,000 members, as part of a strategic shift to focus on improving business margins.

It would truly be funny if they started having AI to both prepare the talking points for the Quarterly Earnings Calls AND had AI actually present the talking points AND have AI answer any of the shareholders (bankers) questions.
Maybe would not even need to have the CEO nor CFO to be on the calls

Wouldn’t be surprised if someday one person would be recommending stock to a friend and say, “Have you considered buying stock in that AI company called Humana?”
And his friend reply, “I think I have heard of them, didn’t they used to sell Health Insurance products at one time?”
First friend’s reply, “Umm, maybe, not really sure.”

It is truly sad and disgusting. Business as usual for them, despite the many lives they have ruined.
I doubt, except for divine intervention, that they will ever have a conscience as to that fact.
Perhaps when they are really old and have lots of time on their hands and cannot escape thoughts of regret from creeping in.
That actually, strangely enough, would be a blessing for them, depending on what they did with those thoughts

Actually, I guess Q2 Earnings call is this Wednesday, not Thursday. I think Humana’s calendar may be wrong.

Here is information before the call from an article.

Health insurance company Humana (NYSE: HUM) will be announcing earnings results this Wednesday before the bell. Here’s what you need to know.

Humana met analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $39.65 billion, up 23.5% year on year. It was a strong quarter for the company, with a solid beat of analysts’ full-year EPS guidance estimates and a narrow beat of analysts’ EPS estimates. It added 2.71 million customers to reach a total of 17.71 million.

Is Humana a buy or sell going into earnings? Read our full analysis here, it’s free for active Edge members.

This quarter, the market is expecting Humana’s revenue to grow 25.5% year on year, improving from the 10.2% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year.

The Humana Q2 Earnings call is next Thursday if you want to call in. It is open to general public. Below is the link to sign up. Where it asks for company you are with or representing just enter “General Public” and it will accept that. I have done that in the past. They are not allowed to prevent general public to join and listen in on these calls because finances for public stock traded companies have to be open to all.

When I say hurt Humana, I mean open the world’s eyes as to the corrupt nature of the corporation. Humana and all of these for-profit health insurance corporations capitalizing off tax payer, government funded money to get rich while denying member’s catastrophic claims, displacing American citizens for what is supposed to be rare and only temporary H1-B Visa workers, and not doing their mandate of curbing fraud, waste, and abuse.

@h9 Yeah, I just need to get a few local news stations and one national news station to recognize and interview me and not only will help their ratings, hopefully I will hurt Humana in the process, which is really the end goal.
