Looks like they disabled the work around so you could see this Q’s SCORE. Why? Did it really matter? We all knew there was a chance it was wrong, but let’s beat us down even further and remove any chance we had of seeing what was going on.

@pb well not exactly true. The legacy DSA is still there and they could have kept a build of Score running that connects to the old system and get the right data out. That would be the correct practice in any decently managed project.
They chose not to. Likely to present that ODW is being successfully rolled out. Now when they are unable to calculate the numbers - as far as I understand they can't figure out the modifiers - they could just say that they apply a generous 1.5 modifier to all your orders and let it go. But they chose to offload this mess onto the paychecks of their sales corps
@OP For nearly 30 years, thousands of smaller internal applications, automated tools, and spreadsheets were built to "hook into" SCORE and COINS to pull data.
Because the "One Dell Way" initiative chose a strict "Big Bang" implementation strategy—shutting off the legacy databases overnight rather than running them in parallel with the new Oracle Fusion ERP—those thousand secondary applications have lost their lifeline. The remaining tools "don't work" because they are pointing at a legacy infrastructure that no longer exists, and the new Oracle platform uses an entirely different data format that they cannot read without manual IT re-mapping.
I have a feeling saleschat usage will be tied to final numbers..

You are assuming they have a TEST/DEV. I laughed so hard, I fell out of my chair.
@cs well they could gave kept the original system in place until the new one works flawlessly. Or could just restore an old version of Score from repository. For some reason none of those is a valid option and they chose the path where nothing works in Prod.
This is completely illegal if we can't see our numbers why even have a quota. Someone is doing something fishy ... completely re--rded process and company
@cm obviously for those who barely made 40% this sounds good, although they will end up with a decent amount they need to pay back once the systems start working again. If that ever happens.

@cj that su-ks for those of us who beat the targets. Basically giving Dell a two month interest free loan on anything above 90% of my quota
Just got notice that we will be paid 90% draw for now and will finalize the numbers in mid Q3.
End of quarter is at the end of this month. They have to show something.
It seems like they always have to fiddle with things to get an output. It legitimately makes you wonder the accuracy of all of this. Salespeople are pretty good at tracking these things. The rest of us? Not so much.
This entire SCORE thing is shady AF. 1000% there will be number fudging.
