Job market check

I'm curious how people who were laid off are doing with their job search. Is the market brutal or are you finding opportunities? Would love to hear from anyone still checking in.

@a1 This is the way! Don't apply to every job out there, use a good recruiter.

9 months off for me, only "offers" I'm getting are scams. I'm not young so trying to hide my age.

Took me 5 months to land a new job. Same pay, no stock but oh well. I am late 50s.

@a6 My advice is to find a local one to your city and push for a phone call. Make sure the LI profile is years old too.

But be careful! LI is flooded with AI recruiters. It is impossible to tell the real from the fake.

The most effective route is partnering with a recruiter. Since the job market shifts from place to place, your odds can vary a lot!!! Being in India can be tough, while most locations across Europe are generally more favorable. My recommendation: choose a recruiter who will help you refine and strengthen your CV, then build from there.
