Is IBM using PIPs to exclusively get rid of employees who are US citizens?
Do you know of any H1B employees have been been put on PIP and fired for not being able to successfully complete the PIP.

@e2 yup that’s the trick they use. When will they get called out on it?
@e2 RAs shouldn’t be tied to performance anyway. Some are let go from PIp without RA
@e2 :
PIP was paper trail to justify RA but no paper trail to justify PIP? Appears to be some gross misconduct in terminations at a mass scale. And if only citizens are getting PIP, does that not put H1B workers at an advantage at the cost of US citizens - does that make it a visa fraud or employment discrimination?
My team that saw 10 RAs two weeks ago had multiple people that were put on PIPs out of the blue for spurious reasons, then let off the PIP almost immediately before getting the RA. Every one was an American and I was advised by senior leadership it was just to create a paper trail to justify the RAs if they were questioned later.
So yes, they're targeting Americans with PIPs to create a paper trail to get rid of them later.
@a7 and in Albany only 40 and over is all I’ve seen
In Albany yes only us citizens
Only seen US citizens on pip, dont have any h1b, but 95+ percent of team is offshore
