Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

What should Takis do to gain your confidence?

What would make you think, hey, this might not have been such a bad thing after all?

Frankly I would start with checking departmental complains in HR. If a department had more than 3 HR complaint in a year or two and has a high turn over the department management (VP and manager both) should be fired immediately. You cannot build a strong company when your a management is sh-t and HR complaints are a great way to see what is happening and this should be on all levels including corporate

Divya needs to STOP bringing people in that have ZERO knowledge. She should focus on bringing people back that know Fiserv - Product and Clients. Its her best and fastest path to success.

For this company to survive the #1 thing he HAS got to do is break the internal silos for smoother workflows and faster client responses. If this is not done he and Fiserv will be doomed!

Relax “location strategy” so there is opportunity for mobility without having to move to New Jersey or Nebraska.

Like @a8 & @b3 said. Show that he understands in this orchestra that he's conducting, but there won't be any music without we the artists doing our thing. Quit treating us like children. Create an open forum where new ideas are welcomed given a honest review and acted on or properly shut down. Give credit to those that are excelling in the day-to-day, or bringing new ideas. Bring WFH back in earnest. Do better in compensation, not jist the top of the house. And finally give the upper management of the house a thorough cleaning.

But none of that will ever happen, so my real answer is, "probably nothing"

Seriously review all the wastage that is happening in the name of AI. Some CIOs and VPs think they can build enterprise products by depending on narcissistic individuals and by cutting off any feedback so that they can be promoted.

Make us WANT to come to work. First priority isn’t moving faster, AI or any other flavor of the month - build a culture where your employees want to work for you (we are so far from there) and everything else will fall into place

Give retroactive merit raisers for all meets and above associates who did not get them because we are a nickel and dime outfit

Give assurances no return to monitoring badge swipes, time spent in office, on keyboard. Company tanked in Oct despite all Frank’s spying. Show you TRUST your people

Staff up so we aren’t all doing the jobs of 3 or 4 people

Get rid of the remaining Frank guys on the MC. You know who they are!

Clarify who is actually the CTO

Make SVPs and VPs working managers. They just sit back and give orders. Most do NOTHING and are paid a ton for it

Lay off people who are non responsive to clients. Mike talked about examples in the town hall. Why are these people still here?

Stamp out this culture of delegation where know nothing senior people just palm off exec requests on their underlings as they literally don’t know how to do anything. Then they take credit for the work.

Hold an all hands town hall committing to all of the above

I agree with all of this.

I see such great feedback shows the dedication and expertise. We must stop defaulting to external VP hires. We have highly capable people in lower positions who have already proven themselves — they know our products inside and out. It’s time we recognize that and promote from within.

Get rid of Dhivya and her band. She has elevated the wrong talent all over FIG. Mike was too weak to stand up to her. Takis needs to show some power here. Squash.

@a7 Fiserv only sees support as a loss leader and will sadly never invest in it.

But they are going to make you go through an AI front end before you can even submit a ticket.

  1. 3 days in office, if it’s good enough for BH it’s good enough for everyone.
  1. Layoff Freeze

  2. Move away from AI being our only “plan” to extinguish this dumpster fire that is Fiserv.

  3. Fire D(ai) Princess and all her fake credentialed nepo hires.

  4. No more H1B or outsourcing to India.

  5. Invest in people power and actually staff things so we can get stuff done.

  6. Fire about half of the VPs and SVPs.

This would be a great start that’s never going to happen because he’s a di-k from JPMC and a consulting group that makes billions telling companies like Fiserv whom to lay off.

I am a client, at least a top 10 client by revenue, probably top 5. I don't care if you are in the office or not. I just want good support and a solid product.
