Got the email giving offer to retire early to group of more senior people. Wanted to see if anyone else got it. Thoughts?

Whats the deal? Why is it better than the normal layoff package?
I received the email today. What happens if I don’t opt in? Will I be put on the list ?
looks like a good deal, I'd take the money and run. (to a competitor woth better c suite leadership)

Not a senior (still 27) , but knew an ex QCOMer who used to say that "QCOM makes peeps retire early" , I guess he wasn't wrong eh
