Laid off a couple of months ago. On my last day I left a leaving note, thank you, wish you well etc and also my new email address and cell #.
Got a call from my old boss last week. Started off asking me how I was doing etc and then had the gaul to ask me about some project work I was working on before he let me go.
I was polite in saying, sorry, no idea and quickly finished the call.
Anyone else had this ? Its laughable.

my old boss didnt say one word to me after the day I was notified - 3 months of silence until my last day, and no goodbye.
They tried calling me for a few things and I just let it go to voicemail. Never responded.
LOL my supervisor tried reaching out and I ghosted him. Hope he gets hit in the next round.
@am The main function of HR is to create a paper trail that protects the company from lawsuits. Asking a question about a project you we were working on before being laid off isn’t grounds for a successful lawsuit neither is being a lousy boss and a terrible human being.
Therefore, HR won’t care and it’s not worth the trouble. Living well is the best revenge! Finding a better job where you’re appreciated and living your best life should be the goal.
report your old boss to HR and maybe they will be terminated: hranswers.us@verizon.com
Your only reply to this should be - "If interested, I'm available as a consultant for $1000 an hour. If not interested, stop wasting my precious time!"
@OP LOL! You did the right thing! It doesn’t really matter if you leave forwarding details or not. They know how to reach you.
My old boss knows better than to call me but others have called to ask me how to do certain tasks. My standard answer is: “Didn’t you get the email about me? You’re not supposed to discuss Verizon business with me!” It scares them away!
Tell your former boss to eat sh1t
I mean they could hire you back as contractor to help on any project. IF you wanted to do that. Otherwise you are too busy to deal with things that aren't your current job
@OP I could see if a co-worker who was your friend calling about something, but a boss should be told to pound sand
@OP That's wild. I would have done the same.
When they fire you, they're saying they have no use for you.
Don't let them use you after you've been fired.
