Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

6/22

The week it's going down apparently. Directors+ targeted again and several other Tech Dev roles will be eliminated completely. Plus an additioanl saving's target that will reduce the remaining head count.

@r8 yes--normally Wednesday, but the infamous proof of life ransom meeting (where the large layoffs and rebadging notification) was Tuesday, March 24, so this tracks.

Seems strange it would be a Tuesday as previous RIF's have all been on Wednesday. And next week doesn't give 2 weeks until the end of the month (pay period). Since most US RIFs have basically been a 2 week notice (gone today but paid for two weeks) it seems strange they would split this over two different pay periods.

I’ve also heard tomorrow (16th) mentioned. Anyone knowing for sure or who the targets will be?

@ax extremely curious if, AT ANY TIME, in executive meetings, when presented with the necessity of upgrading the systems used to process transactions and the cost which would result in greater efficiency with savings down the line, did any of them even consider it? Now, FIS with a stock price in free fall, it has such massive severance costs that it cannot make lump sum payments. Some vendors use such archaic methods and duplicate efforts that could be eliminated easily. When inquiries were made by staff, the answer is always, no! There is no interest in using the collective power of employee experience to improve practices. The C suite is has been allowed to hoard resources which they use to benefit them, (How was that ski trip to Switzerland?). And here we are all. Any well organized housewife could do better.

Tech Dev roles. Whomever wrote this is not the brightest bulb.

THE ENTIRE EMPLOYEE BASE IS BEING OUTSOURCED.

We just got rid of 10k people in the last 90 days. It is about time they remove directors and execs. It should of happened day one but have to take care of those bonuses.

Don't you find it funny they get bonuses for just being there and not spending 20 usd in a single year while all the hardware, infrastructure and programming is 10+ years old? Now their only option is to outsource the work base instead of holding horrible managers and executives accountable.

It's posts like this that are made by people with truly no clue. This next week til end of June as has been noted in other threads, will be more terminations and re-badging. Can you guess what happens after June? The same thing on repeat until FIS can pay its bills. Hundreds of millions save just by getting rid of a couple thousand employees vs the hundreds of millions that could have been saved by getting rid of a handful of execs and management.

Mis-managed for a long time and now we pay a company hundreds of millions of dollars to tell us to fire people and re-brand them (steal from them) because our management chain only looked out for themself, not the company.
