We hear the low performers are being let go. It has been confirmed excellent employees are now being let go, too.

Too many good people are being let go. Part of the assessment of letting them go is how expensive they are.
They’ve been conducting layoffs for quite some time, and it doesn’t appear to be performance-related. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and I’ve seen similar situations before. My guess is that Pat Casey will be gone within six months.
From what I understand, most of his team was let go, and he was retained primarily through the Knowledge event because of his industry reputation and strong customer relationships.
That’s a good thing. Listening to customers state the obvious as related to declining product quality and lower satisfaction of over-burdened support is no longer any fun.
