If you are smart, ambitious and you want to build a career, consider why you are at T?. The managers don't know what they are doing, you aren't allowed to take any initiative, and the only path to success is making your boss and their boss happy regardless of whether you actually do good work. If that's your jam, so be it. But if not, just do yourself a favor and leave. Older workers are here as they are too far in and had the rug pulled out from under them when the health care benefits they were working for were taken away as were many other benefits. Most have to hang in there to get Medicare. Others may have financial burdens or their personal reasons for working late in life so don't judge elders.
