Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

No 5-5-5 for any T employee. It’s a dream that will never become a reality.

“5% headcount reduction, 5% lump sum payout, 5 year mandatory separation after reaching Rule of 75.

That's the only 5-5-5 you're getting”

And a $5 stock price

Gomer and Goober from Bumfvck, Tx don’t know di-k about nuffin’. I’m in the Midwest and the enhanced buyout has been the number one topic on everyone’s mind. The Union knows it’s coming and so does management.

In the 24 years I’ve been employed with AT&T I’ve always have heard from detractors, there will never be another enhanced offer. They are wrong, it’s more targeted but it still happens, there are business justifications for some enhancements, just don’t see a reason for something like 5-5-5. Pie in the sky!

If T has targeted layoffs planned for any business unit next year, you can be certain that you'll just be notified and be given an off payroll date, that's it! Whatever severance package you are entitled to is all you'll receive, nothing more, period!

Heard a rumor they were moving the CWA represented jobs like C&E, I&R, and prem tech to a standalone business unit that will be sold to Wagner Group. Wagner has been working hard to find people who can drive trucks, sit around and drink coffee most of the day with brief periods of interesting work.

Don't laugh. AT&T would sell any of us for the right price.

Blackrock, Blackwater and Wagner group have been contracted for line work., they drink vodka and don’t tighten span hardware. Watch out because there won’t be any offers.

I started with SWBT in the late 1998. Within 3 years, there was most certainly an offer to give craft 5 years service and 5 years to their age to entice them to leave. I SAW THEM LEAVE. Those that took the offer retired with full benefits. I'm sorry that the new AT&T is actively screwing non bargained folks over. It is what is.

It’s not happening this year, next year or the year after that. Understand the company is broke and might lay you off or surplus you but the days of offers to leave are way behind us.
If the company had money, they wouldn’t be getting into bed with Blackrock. And be prepared because Blackrock has their hands in all kinds of sh*t trying to manipulate people and countries.

There will absolutely be no offer like this. There’s one hillbilly on here that keeps posting the same stupid rumor every couple of days, but he knows he’s wrong.

Upper management can see the handwriting on the wall. They’ve got to cut costs and an enhanced offer to thousands of employees making more than double the market rate plus benefits is such a no brainer that you’d think even the brainless sbc trolls on this site would get it.

how is T stock skyrocketing? its down 13% over 6 months and 4% for YTD. a couple of analysts said to avoid it like the plague.

Last time a buyout happened JS wasn’t in charge.
He only cares about cutting costs the least expensive way possible.

it's going to happen and thousands will take it to put T back in the profit sector. with T stock skyrocketing. This will offset the buyouts.
