How do performance ratings affect internal mobility?

Been at WF for almost 1.5 years and want to switch groups. Problem is, my first year end PR was an IM. Although if any hiring manager read it, they would see the review commentary doesn’t match the rating.

Anyways, how does this affect internal transfers? Do I need to have a “meets” on my most recent review to be considered?

@dw when was this? Pretty sure all internal apps ask if you have been put on formal notice or on a PIP

@ba why is a retired senior manager browsing a layoff forum? Spread lies somewhere else you CLOWN.

@dw this is highly unlikely. Even if true (and probably isn’t) this one person’s story does not apply to the entire company.

They don’t. Had a friend put on pip after he was moved to a new role in his group he didn’t have support, and he applied for another internal role. He got the job he applied for and interviewed for. Later manager saw old pip info but his work was so good in his new role they disregarded it and moved on. He’s been ki-ling it in his new role so it all worked out.

The only internal mobility you'll be doing is on a scooter

@ba who the fu-k are you? No one gives a sh-t about your background. I bet you haven’t managed a soul in your life, not even your own.

Fu-k off to wherever you came from.

There are so many red flags in your posting here I can honestly say, as a retired senior manager with many decades of experience in hiring, evaluating, mentoring. and terminating employees from senior level executives to entry level apprentices you are very fortunate to hold the position you presently have. In this current job market, count your lucky stars.

@a2 Betcha real money that others on OPs team perform worse than he does. He just happened to be the fall guy.

Yes- hiring managers see your last few performance ratings and how many jobs you posted for. It's all used to evaluate you. IM ratings will result in a hard pass by any hiring manager.

So potential hiring managers can see your PR rating? I didn’t know that.

What if OP got a meets at mid year? Does that change the situation?

"Internal mobility" LOL

That doesn't exist unless you're willing to clean someone's sphincter with your tongue.

If you were hiring for a position would you hire one of the dozens of internals with good evaluations or the person with an IM? If you'd hire the IM how will you justify it to HR when someone files a complaint for being passed over due to their race, gender etc? Theres your answer.

Let me guess. You were the newest on the team and were the sacrificial IM lamb for last year.

A tale as old as time at this place.

Very unlikely with the IM rating. Huge red flag to hiring managers, even if yours was one of the thousands of fake IM ratings handed out last year to make firing people easier and to make the b*ll**it quotas. At a minimum it gives the appearance that you were on the bottom rungs of the team and likely the weakest.

It has become the obvious and harsh reality of working here. Its all target practice and the employees are the targets. Our careers are the casualties
