I was confused by the documentation around PSP pay out as it said if it happened in the final month of the fiscal year that you would get it. Assuming since they did it in April, we will not get it, but confused since we are staying on payroll till July.

As long as you're on the payroll on the last day of the fiscal year (May 31) then you qualify for PSP. Assuming there is one, it'll be paid out automatically in August.
Generally, your actual final date is two months from now. Is that the case for you? If so, you pass the May 31st deadline and qualify for PSP if there is one.
