It is not easy to decide and accept a slightly worse offer, although I am aware that it might be wiser than waiting here to lose this job. How many of you accepted a worse offer just to get out of here as soon as possible and avoid the risk of being jobless?

yeah but I have seen some of the of people who got accepted through the "Att Program" and it was all political.

Hmmm. How soon after you completed your Masters did you resign?
Because if it was within one year, you have to pay 100% of it back. But I am sure you knew that. Unless your story is complete BS, which is probably more likely.
how would you know if it was BS? I did not have to pay it back.
att sent paid for all those people GT and they still have to outsource their cloud stuff?

Get out as fast as possible! I left for a job that only paid $10K more, but I actually started doing intelligent things at work and working with smart people and I now make 3 times as much in AI.
AT&T is the worst place possible someone can be.
Took a 25% percent pay cut but love my new job outside of the telecom industry. For my sanity it was worth it!
It was tough to find another job that utilize my telephone climbing skills.
Initial salary offers are based on demand for your skillset. You likely have higher expectations of your market worth.
show some respect to att . company provided a decent salary to keep a roof over your head, fed your family....etc. if your not happy gtfo.

I'm currently working through the process for a job with another company. It's not always about pay, but more being satisfied with the work you do and the life it provides. You need to determine your priorities before blindly assuming "less pay" = "worse offer". The job I'm currently entertaining is less money, but offers work that I really enjoy doing and substantial fringe benefits that I find to be valuable to me.
People tend to get hung up on the dollars and forget about enjoying life. Some will always go for the money, but I have chosen quality of life and work enjoyment.
hard to find a worse job or company than att. got offers the first three jobs I sent resumes to and all of them more money and much better ran companies.
but I didn't keep my skills up the att way I did it on my own and kept them via industry standards and training.

just goes to show everything is who you know at att and is an insane environment and everything they touch turns to sh-t.
