Running list of slam style selling for those stores that stand out

Ahhhh yes.....we all see those top stores out there being shouted out on calls etc. How are they hitting those numbers ? Why cant every store hit those numbers ? Well most stores have integrity and don't slam or use deceptive practices hitting those numbers.

Just a few in the last couple of months that went out of control :

Changing a customers address to qualify for Verizon Home internet. It still goes on but no where near the numbers since the crackdown. Those were some great fraudulent numbers South Florida ...while they lasted.

Adding new lines of service to get a "free" phone then moving the new phone to a different line that the customer came into the store to simply just upgrade.

what other shady stuff goes on out there ??? Just look at the top stores in district or region and you can learn a bunch to get your store numbers up....even though its the wrong way.

@2wfx+1koJbuuz The problem is Verizon doesn’t care about CORPORATE retail stores sales numbers anymore. Remember they only account for less the 20% percent of all generated sales throughout all of Verizon’s channels. All the other channels , like indirect locations and telesales and online account for the majority. Of course tele and indirect still get individual commission so they get bigger numbers. The numbers coming in from corporate stores is so small they don’t put any emphasis on them anymore. They are ok with you clerking away and doing just enough to get by.

Our commission is so small yet they want to implement more bs. Now they are gonna add view together in our metrics making transaction times longer and making that 200 kicker that much more out of reach and on top of it now telemarketing 10 to 20 calls a day no matter how busy it is or isn't. Our commission take home is constantly under 700 even after making over 100 percent. We need more incentives to sell cause it's making us miserable on payday. Just like the person on here said "we are becoming clerks instead of sales". Shame on the people making these decisions...must be nice to collect a 6 figure salary to make horrible decisions that fu-k over your sales teams...

It hasn't been a sales job since the team commission change. I agree. I mean even if you just clerk everything and do what the customer asks you get by. Which is fine because what's the incentive, a extra $30 bucks on your check to help your coworker who always calls out get paid, or if you're lucky you get the kicker? $130 after tax for busting your a-s. T-Mobile is crapping on us and if you can't see why then you're part of the problem.

Well this is no longer a sales job because if it was there would still be incentives to work hard

The shame are the quotas. We bust our butts for their high quotas and they raise the targets so high we don't make any money. It's called share the wealth. We should not sell twice as much with three times as much stress and not make an appropriate wage. We will not work hard if we are not rewarded. Verizon doesn't get how sales works. Period.

View together doesn't mean anything. You can just generate the qr code and scroll through it, you don't even have to show them. If a customer has another address, you are allowed to add vhi in another address. If it's cheaper for customers to add a line over upgrading, why wouldn't you do that? As long as everything is quoted and the customer agrees to the price and it's there in front of them. No one is going to get into trouble for any of that. You just can't add more than 1 vhi to a location, there's a report for that and you will get into trouble.

@1oer+1koJbuuz Brah calm TF down. View Together doesn’t mean sh it in these situations. Maybe if it’s a VZP or something but not the situations mentioned because the customer is ok with the reps shady solutions .

hit it on the nail! this exact practice is preached by those in South Florida ... Florida East to be put on blast! Carlos - Robert those in leadership along with GM and SM. please investigate this fraudulent practise - implementation of 'View Together' will slow down these fraudulent sales and am pretty confident the sales superstars numbers plummet down the toilet - quite the tool to slow down fraudulent sales where customers were being taken advantage of

Who's slamming to earn some extra Hans Bucks? I mean Awardperq's

No point in slamming these days just to make an extra $100-$200 in comissions, maybe back then when we had individual comissions slamming would make sense becuase you could make an extra 1k 2k a month . Now a days it’s wayy to risky to earn an extra dollars in comission . Just do your bare minimum if customers don’t want it move on your only hurting the company at this point wich they don’t care about you anyways .

So much effort in the stores with no individual commission. Why ? So numbers can look good and you get a “ fill the fridge “? Bio doesn’t get you paid. The GM and SM’s having reps do stuff shadier then on old comp plan. Newer hires are robots getting numbers by any means nesscesary . False promises made by GM’s to get them promoted . What a shart show the retail stores have become. Zero integrity in a lot of locations.

Wireless is a utility now. Does your electric provider have a retail store?

Stores that don't operate at a decent margin don't need to exist anymore. It's not like subscriber acquisition is a real thing anymore, the profits are way down since TM started the price war, and now most of the money is in Internet and business sales. Visible with just a SIM card and minimal support is fine. So is wholesaling with MVNOs. Independent dealers, Walmart, and Costco means no spending on leases or employee overhead. Internet sign up and autopay are 2 more reasons for corporate stores not to exist. Consumer wireless is the new landline. Yeah, there's still money there, but it's not worth focusing on anymore.

Commission based sales trying to scam customers into signing up for every extra? Yeah, welcome to the 19th century.
